The hidden installed microphone analyzes the frequency, intensity and the timing of all notes in the vehicle. The spectral properties of a recorded sound will be evaluated by a microprocessor. If the typical properties of glass breaking sound is recognized, the alarm will be triggered. This technology works with no false alarm.
Advantages of the system:
If you wish to connect multiple alarm sensors to an alarm input of the alarm system, you need to decouple each alarm line with a blocking diode (sold separately). Otherwise it can cause false alarms.
Choose a good place to install the system, e. g. the headliner or with respect to the monitoring at the wheel, to ensure optimum performance of the sensor. Avoid proximity to noisy engines, compressors and blowers. Determine the exact position and orientation of the glass breakage sensor so that the microphone side of the sensor has an unobstructed view of the monitored wheels. It may conceal the detection angle of the sensor no objects or harnesses.
Adjust the sensitivity using the small knob on the housing. Make a noise with a keychain to check the setting. A knock with a coin on a vehicle window should not trigger an alarm. The red LED lights up whenever the sensor triggers an alarm.
